An exploration of time, memory, and the beauty of impermanence during Berlin Art Week 2026.
In September 2026, Berlin-based contemporary artist Ivan Gette presented Tutto Passa, a solo exhibition in collaboration with AK Galerie, under the direction of gallerist Anna Kimmerle. Held at the gallery’s Gendarmenmarkt location during Berlin Art Week, the exhibition brought together collectors, art enthusiasts, and invited guests for an intimate encounter with Gette’s latest body of work.
Rooted in the Italian expression Tutto Passa — “everything passes” — the series explores the fleeting nature of time and the lasting significance of individual moments. Inspired by a stay in Pietrasanta, Italy, Gette translates personal experiences, encounters, and emotions into abstract compositions, capturing moments not as literal representations, but as impressions that endure.
The exhibition offered visitors an insight into Gette’s intuitive artistic process, where colour, movement, and spontaneity take precedence over predetermined narratives. Central to his philosophy is the relationship between artwork and collector: each painting remains untitled until its owner gives it a name, creating a personal connection that extends beyond the exhibition itself.
The vernissage and exhibition celebrated the dialogue between contemporary art and individual experience, marking a significant presentation of Gette’s work in the heart of Berlin.
